Independent research never takes place alone, but always within a community of fellow researchers and collaborators who inspire and guide each other. I was lucky to find a friend and mentor in wildlife biologist Tessa McGregor, who died in 2017. In this audio memorial, wildlife expert Rubai Mansur and I remember Tessa and her influence on our work. You will also hear Tessa speak in her own words about her experiences as a wildlife biologist and advocate for our beautiful wild spaces!

With thanks to The Churchill Fellowship and The Natural History Consortium for permission to use the audio from Tessa’s lectures.
